Is my server room Fire Protection user friendly?

Physical protection against intruders may pose threats to humans trying to escape a fire engulfed room. Doors requiring authentication or access cards and pins to enter may block a person from escaping in case of emergency. Fire suppression fluid systems for electronics can cause danger to humans when breathing the chemicals (Fire suppression fluid, 2011).

Fire protections recommended to be put in place include keeping raised floor access panels easily accessible. Proper fire suppression systems designed for electronic spaces should be used vice sprinklers to prevent further damage to equipment. Fire doors should have a single handle/latch and be easy to open from the egress side (Michael, 2006).
