Are there any Cybersecurity Education Programs?

The Department of Homeland Security has a national public awareness campaign designed to increase public awareness of cybersecurity threats and what to do about them. The website called Stop.Think.Connect has the correct objective in mind, but is lacking in execution (United States Department of Homeland Security, 2010).

In an effort to recruit members of the awareness coalition the DHS forgot the main mission of the program. The main menu has a dozen links and only one of them provides educational material about cyber security. The DHS awareness campaign website could be much more about awareness and less about recruiting coalition partners.

Conversely, the National Security Agency has a website called IA Academic Outreach that states its mission is to promote improvements in IA curriculum at certified institutions. The site does precisely that on the links provided by explaining the way a college or university can be evaluated and have its degree program sanctioned (United States National Security Agency (2009).

I have many resources posted on my website that will help provide training.
